I’m so excited. I have travelled all across Canada, to every province and territory except Nunavut. Now I have decided to explore more of the world. I have been into the US but with our current situation US travel is not as appealing. So…. I’m going to Egypt in a couple of days. I started reading the itinerary and it really resonated with me. Things I have read about and things I’ve seen in movies have all made e ever to see the ancient world. In Canada, we think something in the 1700s is old, but I can’t conceive how much older Egypt is, and other parts of the world.
My getting ready for this trip has been different. Have been to Qatar before, so I do understand the cultural differences and how to dress in a Muslim country, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have to go shopping! Of course! I do happen to love shopping so it wasn’t a chore. 🤨. Long sleeves, as I have to cover shoulders and elbows. Long pants as your knees have to beee covered too. And you can’t cross your legs and point your feet at someone as that is rude. Plus there is no shaking hands, and left hand is dirty. Jeez and I’m left handed . Oh well.
